A Liver Profile, also known as Liver Function Test (LFT), is a group of tests used to assess the health and functioning of the liver. The liver plays a vital role in various bodily functions, including detoxification, metabolism, and production of bile and proteins. The LFT measures the levels of various enzymes and proteins in the blood that are produced by the liver, such as alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and bilirubin.
